spiritual communication

Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent. - Victor Hugo

Another quote, very cliche but it strikes to the heart of the matter. I love music. It speaks directly to me. When I sing or play a song, I feel that I am expressing every nook and cranny of my personality. It is my attempt to show those for whom I care all that I am. I truly hope that my family (genetic and personality matched) are able to know me better.

Aaaaah so many thoughts so many themes! (Look for future meanderings.)

There are songs that can make me cry or they can make me laugh. Scream in anger! Ponder the deep beyond ... plumb the depths of my own evil and imagine the infinite heights of human possibility.

I also seem to be able to communicate with other people through music. In my mind, I have a musical connection with most of my family and friends. I feel like I know some of who they are by the music that they enjoy. I'm not sure that I could connect at a personal level with someone who doesn't enjoy music; someone who, at some point, doesn't really LISTEN to music and connect with it.

There are so many words spoken between people and yet they may still not know each other. Unless you have a really good bull-sh** meter, words can be false or spun the wrong way. I know. Through music though, I feel truly connected with someone. I don't have to be cautious with words; truth veiled in sarcasm. I guess song is somewhat of a veil if the song is not direct but the right song with the right words and emotional impact can deliver the whole message. I feel like our souls can truly speak, direct, one to one.

If you need a soul hug, my ears are open.
