James Bond - juxtaposition

FYI, no spoilers. I went and saw the newest James Bond movie tonight - Casino Royale. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. I've read many (?) of the Bond novels. Unfortunately, I haven't read this one. In spite of that, this movie seemed to be a lot closer to the books than the other Bond movies that I have seen. In the books, Bond loses fights and rarely has handy gadgets. He's a tough, smart guy but he's human. This movie seems to get a lot closer to that. There were good action scenes but also good introspective character scenes.

I highly recommend reading the books as well as seeing this movie. Lemme know what you think of both.
