Calling
This weekend's sermon was about "The Call". What is God calling me to do? That is a difficult question. Right now, I believe that my calling is to be a Leader of Men. Lead by being a living example.
I feel drawn to teach people how to be responsible citizens. Teach people to prioritize the demands on their time and money, develop a 1 year, 5 year and a retirement plan. I believe that I am a pretty solid citizen and these are important skills to being a good citizen.
I also feel drawn to utilize the skills that I have gained from working and traveling internationally.
Only God knows where this calling will lead me!
Another thing that occurred to me during this weekend's ceremony was that regardless of geographic location or culture, prayer is the same. Prayer is our direct communication with God. There was a minister from South Africa who was on the phone and his prayer was not that much different than my own prayer that night. He was half a world away but right next to me as we prayed to our God.
