Shoot for the moon, land somewhere in .... Iowa?

Should everyone have goals? Things that they want to accomplish before they die? I have always felt that I should "accomplish something". I accept this driving force and assume that I must follow it. I haven't fully embraced it though because I don't necessarily feel that I am accomplishing anything. There are several things that I would like to try.

I would definitely like to be in the music industry in some way. I enjoy singing and I would enjoy working with the technology.

The main driving factor here is the desire to be "off the grid". How self sufficient can I become? Think of all the skills you have to have to be able to provide for yourself. You have to be able to maintain a kitchen garden, maintain a few cattle/pigs, grow hay/straw for your cattle and maintain the equipment needed to accomplish this. That all sounds like a lot of fun to me.

I've determined that what I need to do now is to make sure that every day that I am making progress towards these goals. I need to be practicing my singing or guitar every day. I'll need to save some pennies to build my own small home recording studio. Maybe someday I'll have to take a job as a farm hand. Do I need to brush up on my basic diesel engine maintenance knowledge? There is always something to do.

So, that's what I want to be when I grow up!
